OVERVIEW
From farm fresh food to jewelry and craft breweries, San Diego is home to a wealth of small businesses with craft and handmade products. Craft and Collect is a conceptual yearly event held at BRICK in Liberty Station. The objective was to create a playful event environment emphasizing the importance of each participant and celebrating San Diego’s small businesses. Craft & Collect is tailored to small batch culture. With that in mind, a brand was created to celebrate this community.
SOLUTION
To tie back to the craft community, I created a logotype that marries modernity and craft. The ampersand is emphasizes with line to represent thread and coming together. Fun and exciting, almost neon, colors against a black background pop out in a celebration way like party balloons. The bold patterns tie the design together and mimic spontaneity of art and confetti.
